Definition: This is a technical word that just means having a special attraction for the
liver. I use the word when I write about hepatotropic
viruses. These viruses have a special attraction to the liver and prefer to infect the liver over any other part of the body. There are five common hepatotropic viruses, each named after the first five letters of alphabet, better known as the hepatitis viruses.
