Are You Number 12?

From Charles Daniel, About.com GuideMay 9, 2009

May 19, 2009 is World Hepatitis Day, a day organized by advocates around the world to create awareness for viral hepatitis. You can observe this day in many ways, but one good way is to ask your friends "are you number 12?" According to World Hepatitis Alliance data, one in 12 people worldwide is living with chronic hepatitis B or C. Considering all the people on this planet, that's a lot of people living with this disease! And, yet, public awareness and accurate understanding of chronic hepatitis seems to vary from poor to ridiculously bad. Supporting public health campaigns like this is one way to improve awareness.

Many people are not aware that the herb milk thistle is a specific for liver health, regeneration, and protecting the liver against toxic substances. There is also a plant based supplement called “Nutriferon”which boosts the body’s production of interferon. It raises the body’s immunity to help fight viruses and is being used by some to treat hepatitis C. This natural supplement has no harmful side effects and was developed by Dr. Kojima, the renown immunologist who discovered interferon in 1954.

Both “Nutriferon” and milk thistle(called “DTX”) can be obtained at: http://www.shaklee.net/HealthySolutionsUnltd/product/20616.

I’m Number 12 with pics to prove it! LOL Many of us were out yesterday educating as many people as we could. I didn’t make it to Florida’s “official” WHD because it was down in St. Pete this year but I educated many outside my local Wal-Mart in Tallahassee. Every little bit helps :-)
