Our bodies grow fat by getting more calories than they need and storing the excess as fat. Of course, while we see only the outside, complex stuff is going on inside, too. Did you know that the liver also stores fat? When too much fat is in the liver, it creates a problem called fatty liver. This is worrisome because people with fatty livers are at risk of developing hepatitis and in some cases, suffering liver failure. Unfortunately, a fatty liver usually causes no symptoms.
